The Evolution of the Book Project

We met online for over 2 years as a writers group, encouraging each other to write down our stories and gather our shared histories. Beyond our core group, we reached out to other folks to write their own memoirs of their days in Olywa. We also gathered a treasure trove of photographs and graphics to vivify the memoirs, and where needed created new images to accentuate the storytelling.

Once all the work was collected, we worked with a team of copy editors to clarify the material and a graphic artist to compose the book to make it an enjoyable read. Once all the elements were fully fledged, we had the book published by Chehalis Printers in both paper version (for sale) and E-format (free online). While we certainly hope to recoup some of the expenses, we are committed to make it available free of charge for those without funds.
